The coast line from Gumuldur to Ozdere curves gently around a romantic bay in the Aegean sea. The deep shale beaches slope down to the crystal blue sea. Gumuldur is a summer town by the south west coast about 45 minutes from Izmir Adnan Menderes International airport. It is famous for its crystal clear water and natural beauty. Ozdere is further down the road eastwards in the Kusadasi direction. It is a bustling touristy town with a lovely sandy beach and bathing bay. There is everything you need such as post office, supermarkets, open bazaar, private and state owned hospitals, as well as many restaurants, bars and shops. Just outside the town there is a café upon the hill that you can sit and have a drink and look down over the curvaceous bay and watch the moonlight shine over the water. Further down the road there is a municipal fish restaurant that serves locally caught fish deliciously cooked.
